# How do I assign a team to a channel?

## Before you start

Before assigning a team to a channel, make sure you have:
- A **connected messaging channel** in your workspace.
- At least one **configured team** in your account.

## How to assign a team to a channel

1. Log in to your Flownally workspace.
2. Go to the **Channels** tab.

3. Click the channel you want to assign a team to.

4. Click on the **Assign team** button.

## What happens after assigning a team to a channel?

After assigning a team to a channel, new incoming conversations from that channel will route directly to the designated team. Your group members can view, manage, and answer these specific messages inside their shared workspace inbox immediately.

## Troubleshooting

### Team list is empty

You probably have not created any teams in your account settings yet. Go to your workspace settings to create a team before assigning it.

### Assign button does not work

The likely cause might be a temporary browser loading lag. To fix that you need to refresh your browser window to fix the page response.
