How do I send an SMS?

This article helps you send text messages from your Twilio number to your customers from the Flownally inbox. It guides you through the process of sending an SMS from both active chats and other chats using the sidebar.

In this article, you will learn how to

  • Send an SMS from an active Twilio chat.
  • Send an SMS from any other chat using the sidebar.

Before you start

Before sending a Message Template, make sure you have:

  • Connected at least one number on the Twilio channel.
  • Have an active Flownally subscription.

How to send a Message Template

  1. Log in to your Flownally workspace.
  2. Go to the Inbox tab.

  1. You have two options on how to send an SMS:
    • From an active Twilio chat:
      1. Type a message.
      2. Click on Send to send the message.

- From any other chat: 1. Click on the **Send SMS** button on the right bar.

2. Type a message. 3. Click on **Send SMS** to send the message.

  1. The message will appear in the chat.

What happens after sending a Message Template?

After sending an SMS, the message appears directly in the chat history. The customer receives your text message on their mobile device. You can track the entire conversation and see their replies in your shared inbox.

Troubleshooting

Message fails to send

This can occur due to a temporary network connection drop between systems. You need to check your internet connection and refresh your browser page to try sending the template again.
